Coastal Rhythms: Dance of the Emu

Join Angourie Dance's Jade Dewi Tyas Tunggal and Janessa Dufty with Yaegl guest artists Kerri McLeay and Mitch King, for a dynamic afternoon of dance, music, storytelling and creativity inspired by the endangered Coastal Emu and Yaegl Country.

Working alongside First Nations artists, local creatives and community mentors, participants will learn original choreography, connect with culture and Country, and build confidence in a fun, welcoming and supportive environment.

The workshop concludes with a community performance at 3.00pm, where family and friends are warmly invited to celebrate the young dancers' achievements.

Workshop participants will also be invited to perform the following day at the Yaegl Sea and Land Determination Celebration on Monday 31 August, sharing this special work as part of an important community event.
